Fully Guided Florida Turkey, Deer and Hog Hunting

The 2009 Spring Gobbler Season was a tough one, but we still managed to a bag a few birds along the way. It may have been a little slow, but it was anything but boring. We had an eleven foot gator come to twenty yards of one setup and another customer got to see the guide try to out run a groud hornet in his pants!.

They have a large amount of land on which you can hunt turkey and Jack Dorton is an accomplished turkey hunter/caller. His knowledge of his hunting area, turkey calling and scouting are fantastic. I saw more birdsin one day with Jack than I have in three other previous hunts combined. He called in an awesome bird for me that was over four hundred yards away in high winds. Jack and Patches are incredibly hospitable folks and the rates are unbeatable.

Guys, I just want to say thanks for the great deer hunting expedition. To tell you the truth, I was kind of skeptical when I arrived to Palatka; but as soon as we started it was a rush all the way through the end of the hunting. You guys are full of hunting knowledge, pay attention to all the details, and give an excellent service to your guests, as well as to succeed in the hunting. That was some kind of rush seeing that boar stumble at 600 yards.  Most people say yeah right – you just missed.  Oh well they were not there to see it all go down.  If you ever need a reference let me know and I will tell a story of 3 guys working there asses off trying to get me a hog.  For me this was better than a big Illinois buck even though I came home empty handed (like I said I wouldn’t want to break your streak). Thanks for everything.

 My experience with P&J Osceola Guide Services was awesome! I originally booked the hunt for osceola turkeys and hogs, but when I got there I put the hogs on the back burner. The osceola turkey was definitely a challenge! The bird I harvested came to the decoys from over 100 yards out and gave me a twenty to twenty five yard shot. P&J's guides, Jack, Chester and Josh, are down to earth and very knowledgeable hunters. I also had the opportunity to dine at Jack's house. Jack's wife, Patches, definitely knows her way around a kitchen! P&J work very hard to try and make your hunt a successful one.
