Terms and Conditions

1. All free range hunts are non-guaranteed. Hunts for Exotic species and wild hog are guaranteed.

2. P&J does provide lodging or will recommend reputable establishments in the area.

3. All transportation, snacks, drinks, lunch, and care of your trophy are included in the price of the hunt.

4. P&J will pick you up from the lodge or your hotel each day and will return you to the lodge or hotel at the end of the hunt.

5. Fees will be based on the type of hunt, number of hunters and length of the hunt.

6. P&J does not charge a trophy fee for wild turkeys. Regardless of the turkey, the price of the hunt is all that is charged to the customer.

7. Deposits are required to book a hunt and all deposits are non refundable.

8.Our hunts are fully guided, and all guides are very experienced and will work hard to ensure you have the best opportunity available. Tipping of the guide is customary but not required.

9. P&J reserves the right to terminate any hunt due to unsafe or unlawful behavior. The guides, management and land owners will not tolerate irresponsible or dangerous behavior.

10. P&J does not provide hunting license and permits. Licenses may be purchased online at myfwc.com or upon arrival.

11. P&J Osceola Guide Services is not liable for any injury or loss incurred while hunting on or traveling to and from hunting locations. All hunters must sign a liability release prior to engaging in any activity supervised or provided by P&J Osceola Guide Services.

FAQs

1. Where is P&J located?

P&J is located outside of Palatka, Florida about forty minutes south of Jacksonville, Florida. Directions will be provided upon booking.

2. What species are offered at P&J?

P&J specializes in wild turkey hunts, but also provide hunts for exotics, hogs, deer, coyotes, doves, crows and just about any small game animal that is legal game in Florida.

3. Does P&J accept children?

P&J welcomes children. We enjoy family hunts and hunt together with our own family.

4. What will I need to bring on a hunt with P&J?

All you really need to bring is yourself and your hunting clothing. We have a selection of firearms if you do not have one or if your firearm becomes unserviceable during the hunt. P&J also provides blinds, decoys, calls and many other items you may find a need for in the field.

5. Does P&J accept bow hunters?

Absolutely. P&J also has access to several archery only areas that produce some of the best opportunities in our area. P&J also has equipment and experience to do most archery repairs onsite and in a timely manner. P&J provides an onsite archery range to keep you on target and maintain your shooting skills.

6.Who does the calling on a P&J turkey hunt?

At P&J, it’s your hunt. You make the decision. Each subspecies has its own quirks and responds differently to calling. Osceola Turkeys are an especially finicky bird. We like to be as helpful as possible, but if the bird likes your calling better we want you to be successful.

7.How long is a P&J hunt?

We like to have at least two days to maximize your chance of success, but we will do one day or even morning / evening hunts if scheduling permits.    

8.Can someone come with me as a non-hunter?

Observers are welcome to come along at reduced price. Observers are only charged for lodging, food, drinks and transportation.

9.Can you hunt turkeys in the fall?

Turkeys are also legal game in the State of Florida from archery season through general gun season in the fall. The turkeys are less vocal and our strategy is changed to match the behavior.

10. How do I get a hunting license?

A hunting license and all applicable permits can be obtained online at myfwc.com, toll free by phone at 1-888-486-8356 or purchased locally upon your arrival. P&J will assist you in any way possible, but you must obtain the license and permits prior to hunting.
